The Vigilance officials on Monday arrested Hariharjora police outpost ASI Kishore Kumar Bagh under Biramaharajpur PS in Subarnapur district for demanding and accepting bribe of `10,000.
Bagh had demanded bribe from one Arakhita Das of Hariharjora village in the district. Das alleged that on August 14, Bagh detected two bear bottles from his refrigerator, kept in his grocery-cum-tea stall located at Harirajora. Threatening to arrest him, the ASI demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000. The complainant paid him `10,000 earlier. But Bagh again demanded him `10,000.
On Das’s complaint, a trap was laid and Kishore Kumar Bagh caught raid-handed by Vigilance officers on a road near college chowk in Biramaharajpur.
