A group of students again staged a demonstration at Lower PMG Square ere on Monday demanding cancellation of Plus Two examination.
It is for the second time that the students raised the demand of cancellation of Plus Two examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). The students alleged that State Government is yet to make any announcement regarding dates for conduct of examination, due to which there is confusion among them and this would create problems for them in pursuing higher education.
The students threatened to intensify their agitation if examination is not cancelled. They also threatened to gherao the Naveen Niwas if no decision is taken within 10 days.Following demonstration, police held a discussion with the agitating students. However, as students were reluctant to call off their stir, police dispersed them. Two student leaders were also taken into preventive custody.
