2 others rescued by fishermen
In a tragic incident, a Class-IX student of the Paradip Kendriya Vidyalaya went missing in the sea here on Tuesday morning.
However, two other students were rescued from water by local fishermen.
According to information, the three were taking bath when they were swept away into the sea.
They had come to the beach to take part in beach cleaning under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan organised near the Biju Maidan by the Paradip Municipality on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
While the two rescued, A Saijyoti and Subham Kulu, were undergoing treatment at a hospital, the other student, Ansuman Dash, was still missing.
The incident has raised eyebrows as how the students slipped into the sea escaping the vigil of KVPP teachers escorting the students and the Paradip Municipality officials present at the programme.
