In a tragic incident, a Class-VI student was killed after a school wall collapsed on him in Khallikote of Ganjam district on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at the Bania UGME School when the school students had gathered to celebrate Teachers’ Day.
Sources said a portion of the school was under construction and a tractor loaded with sand, while entering the school, lost control and hit the wall following which the wall collapsed and fell on the student.
Critically injured, the student was rushed to the Khallikote Health Centre where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment.
