Students’ Congress State president Itish Kumar Pradhan on Wednesday urged Governor Dr SC Jamir to direct the CBSE authorities to publish the Class-XII results, which are withheld, at the earliest so that concerned students don’t face any trouble in getting admission in higher classes.
He too urged the Governor to direct the State Government to extend last date for admissions into Plus Three and other higher classes.
In a memorandum submitted to Jamir, Itish mentioned that due to withhold of results, fate of around 13,000 CBSE Class-XII Science students of the Odisha zone, including 7,000 of the State, is hanging in balance now. The erratic evaluation has left the affected students and their guardians in a state of mental trauma.
He pointed out that if results are not published within seven days with award of grace marks, students would face a lot of trouble to apply for higher studies.
He too urged that State Government should extend admission dates so that students would not be debarred from pursuing higher studies. Fees received by the CBSE for rechecking of papers should be returned to the students, he demanded.
