Student Cong to gherao Naveen Niwas on Oct 29

School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash is a blot for the education system of Odisha. After his involvement in Zilla Parishad Member Dharmendra Sahu’s death came to the fore, the student community, parents and intellectuals don’t want him to continue as Minister, said the Odisha Student Congress on Wednesday.

It is sad that the Chief Minister himself is shielding the Minister. All the evidences in the case have been destroyed. Before his death, Sahu had said in the social media that the information about his death were stored in his two cell phones. The phones of Sahu which were seized by police were claimed to have been sent to Singapore for examination. But the phones are still now in police custody, alleged Student Congress State president Yasir Nawaj.

The Student Congress demands that Minister Dash be immediately expelled from the Cabinet and brought under the purview of police investigations. Besides, a High Court- monitored SIT probe should be ordered into the incident. For fulfilment of this demand, the Student Congress would gherao the Naveen Niwas on October 29, said Nawaj.
