The Apeejay School here organised a workshop on ‘Storytelling and craft activity’ recently. Resource person for the event was writer Tarveen Singh.
Various nuances of creative writing and storytelling were discussed. The literary benefit was immense, especially because of the visual impact of the presentation.
A short musical yoga session was conducted where children did some exercises.
Resource person Singh took up a classic rhythmic story written by Michael Rosen entitled ‘We are going on a bear hunt’. The simultaneous visual presentation of the story helped the children grasp the concept and sharpen memory.
