In a deeply shocking incident, a 15-year-old girl was beaten to death allegedly by her stepfather at Raghuala Sahi under the Champua police limits in Keonjhar district on Tuesday night.After killing the girl, accused Kailash Oram attempted suicide by hanging self. However, he was rescued by his wife and admitted to the Champua Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment. Sources said the stepfather went on beating the girl as she was speaking over mobile phone at night.
However, the exact reason behind the incident was yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, police began an investigation into the incident.
