If production is maintained continuously then quality improves automatically,” said Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) CEO GS Prasad in his inaugural address at a workshop on performance improvement organised for the employees of the Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) on Saturday.
The theme of the workshop was ‘Enhancement of production, quality and utilisation in Pickling line-II & Tandem Mill route’. Prasad said, “The global steel industry is going through a tough phase. To overcome the challenges ahead of us, we have to increase the volume and reduce the cost of production.”
Exhorting the participants to utilise their full potentials, Prasad further said, “When so many brains work together, a good result is definitely ensured.”
Various issues regarding the theme of the workshop were discussed in the different sessions. Many General Managers and senior officers of the plant were present at the workshop.
