While the Crime Branch police, investigating into the cases originating from last month’s lawyers-police faceoff here, have not arrested anyone so far, the agitating lawyers of Orissa High Court on Wednesday decided to continue their cease-work stir till Monday next.
“The general body meeting of the High Court Bar Association decided to continue the State-wide lawyers agitation till Monday’” informed association president Srikant Naik, adding that over 160 other bar associations of the State have also decided to continue the agitation till next week.
Naik further stated that before next Monday, a delegation of the lawyers would meet the Governor, Chief Minister and Law Minister and apprise them about their stand.
“The outcome of the meetings will be discussed by the HC Bar Association’s general body to decide the further course of action,” Naik added.
