All India Youth Congress (IYC) Secretary and Odisha in-charge Indrani Mishra on Wednesday announced dissolution of the State Youth Congress Committee and said that a new committee would be formed through an electoral process soon.
Addressing a Press conference here, Mishra said the State committee was dissolved on the approval of IYC President Rajiv Satav. The committee completed its two-year term and the electoral process for the new committee would tentatively begin by August-end, she said.
She said the IYC membership scrutiny in the State would be held from July 17 to 21. No corrections will be done after 5pm on July 21. The IYC urges upon the youths of the country to share their ideas and suggestions in framing policies for the betterment of Young India. She emphasised on the fact that youth were an indispensible part of the Congress Campaign all over the country, and the party plans to encourage more youth into joining it. State Youth Congress President Sangram Keshari Jena was present.
