Odisha will participate at the 3rd Global Economic Summit 2013 which will be held from September 23 to 26 at the World Trade Centre (WTC), Mumbai. A departmental meeting has decided that the State will take part in the event under the banner Team Odisha.
The meeting was held recently chaired by Principal Secretary of the Industries Department Parag Gupta. The Idco will be the nodal agency to fix up the modalities for participation and selection of event manager for the summit. The meeting also suggested participation of the State’s handloom, handicrafts and MSME clusters.
Particularly, NOCCi, Baleswar and the Jajpur Development Cluster are most likely to take part in the summit. This apart, a team led by the Principal Secretary of Industries Department, Secretary of Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts Department, Secretary of MSME Department, Idco CMD and Director of Industries are likely to attend the global meet.
