Odisha will participate in the Municipalika-2013, the 11th international conference and exhibition for “Safe Healthy, Green, Inclusive & Smart Cities” being organised at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, from March 13 to 15.
The Housing and Urban Development Department will open an Odisha State pavilion to showcase the success stories of urban governance in the State relating to the initiatives on urban infrastructure, solid waste management, transport, conservation of lakes and parks and PPP projects.
Chairpersons or Deputy Chairpersons of 15 best performing urban local bodies, Joda, Brajarajnagar, Dhenkanal, Kantabanji, Jaleswar, Patnagarh, Biramitrapur, Balangir, Titlagarh, Koraput, Gunupur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Brahmapur will participate in the Municipalika for greater exposure and knowledge sharing on best practices in urban governance. These urban local bodies were awarded by the State Government in December last for their good performances.
