The State Government has decided to formulate a five-year perspective plan for 2014-2019 to achieve higher and sustainable growth while maintaining accelerated development in the State.

The plan prioritises resource mobilisation, performance evaluation, effective delivery system and implementation of different plans and programmes within a stipulated time frame,” said Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Injeti Srinivas. Srinivas said the Planning and Coordination department had already started the process to formulate department-wise five-year perspective plan which would be ready soon for implementation.

This would help in achieving inclusive growth where all people would get the results of the Government schemes.

Srinivas , who is on his way to assume the office of Chairman of National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority, said the State Government was considering to rope in  expert institutions like National Productivity Council and  National Council of Applied Economics to prepare the strategy and policy framework for implementation of different plans and programmes. He said that the plan document would also give much emphasis on sector-specific planning to highlight the problems and find possible solutions. The main emphasis of the vision document would be to reduce human interface, ensure people’s participation in Governance and projects, plan better utilisation of manpower, timely implementation and put an effective delivery system, the Development Commissioner said.
