The city meteorological centre on Wednesday forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at many places over the interior parts of the State and strong and gusty surface wind blowing at a speed of 40-50 kmph along and off the Odisha coast during the next 48 hours.
This will occur due to formation of a low pressure over the northwest Bay of Bengal. The fishermen were advised not to venture into the sea.
