Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday directed the Industries Department to make all possible attempts to make Odisha the main manufacturing hub of eastern India.
Reviewing performances of the department, the CM advised to take initiatives to ensure that the industry sector contributes more to the State GDP in coming five years.
It was revealed that the Government would adopt many policies to implement the Vision-2025 in the industry sector. Accordingly, a new Startup Policy would be in place by the end of the current month.
Many other policies like those on plastics and petrochemicals, healthcare investment, pharmaceuticals, automobile and auto component and textile would come up next year.
