The Covid-19 tally in State surged to 10,13,567 with registration of 762 new cases in 29 districts and State pool on Wednesday. As many as 102 children between 0 and 18 years were among those infected. On Tuesday, 638 cases were detected. During last 24 hours, 64,602 samples were tested and the test positivity rate (TPR) was 1.17%. The active cases stood at 6,853. Of fresh cases, 443 were from quarantine and 319 local contacts. Khordha district recorded day’s highest 314 cases followed by Cuttack with 119, Mayurbhanj 29, Sundargarh 26, Jagatsighpur 24, Kendrapada 21, Angul 20, Jajpur 19, Baleswar 17, Puri 16 and Bargarh 13.Other districts which reported less than 10 cases were Bhadrak and Dhenkanal nine each, Keonjhar and Sambalpur seven each, Koraput and Rayagada six each, Ganjam and Jharsuguda four each, Nuapada, Nayagarh and Subarnapur three each, Balangir and Nabarangpur two each and Deogarh, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Malkangiri one each.Besides, 48 cases were reported from the State pool.
