Six more people succumbed to Covid-19 in the State, with which the total death toll increased to 9,091, the Health Department said on Friday.
Sundargarh district reported three deaths and Khordha, Cuttack and Malkangiri one each.
Meanwhile, 128 more persons were found Covidpositive in 19 districts and the State pool, taking the total tally to 12,85,615.
Among the newly-infected were 22 children in the age group of 0 to 18 years.
Notably, the State had reported 138 cases on Thursday.
Out of the new cases, 73 were from quarantine and 55 local contacts.
Jharsuguda district reported the maximum 22 new cases followed by Gajapatiwith 19, Khordha 13, Sundargarhat 11, Baleswar and Mayurbhanj eight each, Koraput and Sambalpur seven each,Nabarangpur five, Angul and Cuttack four each, Kalahandi and Jajpur two each and Kandhamal, Nayagarh and Puri one each,
Besides, one case was reported from the State pool.
As many as 11 districts witnessed nil cases in the last 24 hours.
The total number of active cases was 1,715.
