The State on Monday reported 471 new Covid-19 cases in 21 districts and State pool, with which total tally rose to 1,01,6833.Among new cases, 57 were children in 0 to18 year age group. In last 24 hours, 50,782 samples were tested and test positivity rate (TPR) was 0.93 per cent. The active cases stood at 6,548. Out of the 471 fresh infections, Khordha district reported highest 196 cases, Cuttack 81, Baleswar 26, Jajpur and Mayurbhanj 22 each, Sambalpur and Puri 19 each and Jagatsinghpur 16,
The districts which recorded below-10 cases were Kendrapada (nine), Kendrapada (seven), Dhenkanal (five), Bhadrak and Angul (four each), Jharsuguda and Keonjhar (three), Malkangiri Deogarh and Bargarh (two each) and Balangir, Kandhamal and Sundargarh (one each). Besides, 44 cases were reported from State pool. Six more patients succumbed to the disease in last 24 hours, surging total death toll to 7,104. Baleswar and Puri districts reported two causalities each and Cuttack and Khordha one each. However, 682 patients recovered, increasing total recoveries to 10,02,810.
