The State on Friday reported a slight decrease in Covid-19 cases with 1,208 new infections in 30 districts and State pool, increasing total positive tally to 9,84,731.Out of the new cases, 702 were from quarantine and 506 local contacts.Khordha district reported the day's highest 399 cases followed by Cuttack with 173. The districts which reported below-100 cases were Baleswar with 63, Jagatsinghpur 60, Jajpur 57, Angul 55, Mayurbhanj 33, Kendrapada, Nayagarh 25, Sambalpur 24, Bhadrak 22, Sundargarh 20, Kandhamal and Keonjhar 16 each, Dhenkanal 15, Ganjam 12, Rayagada eight, Bargarh, Balangir and Deogarh five each, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri four each, Subarnapur and Jharsuguda three each, Kalahandi, Nuapada and Koraput two each and one in Gajapati. Besides, 84 cases were reported from the State pool. Meanwhile, another 66 patients succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, mounting the total death toll to 6,302 in the State, the Health and Family Welfare Department said. The maximum 19 deaths were reported from Khordha district followed by 11 from Cuttack, 10 from Ganjam, six from Baleswar, four from Angul, three from Keonjhar, two each from Balangir, Mayurbhanj and Puri and one each from Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Rayagada and Sambalpur.
