The State reported 87 new Covid-19 positive cases in 18 districts and from the State pool, following which its total tally surged to 3,35,369 on Thursday.Of the new cases, 51 were reported from quarantine centres and 36 were local contact cases The day’s highest 26 cases were detected in Sundargarh district. All the other 17 districts reported below 10 cases.Besides, three cases were reported from the State pool.The number of total active cases in the State stood at 910 and the cumulative sample tests were 7,79,6,219.Meanwhile, one more patient succumbed to the disease in Kalahandi district, with which the total death toll rose to 1,907 in the State.
Notably, the last death had been reported from Sundargarh district on January 25.However, 112 patients recovered in the State on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 3,32,611.
