Commodore Shailendra Singh, NM Deputy Director General (DDG) of NCC Directorate Odisha, relinquished his office on superannuation on Thursday after rendering 35 years of exemplary service to the Indian Navy.
In his three and a half years of tenure as the DDG, he played a pivotal role in processing the case for expeditions sanction of raising a NCC Group Headquarter at Koraput and another Air Squadron at Jharsuguda, thus covering the existing gaps and reaching out to youths from rural and tribal areas of the State.
