The State on Monday registered a low of 185 new Covid-19 positive cases in 18 districts and the State pool, taking the total tally to 10,45, 656.
Among the newly-infected were 35 children in the age group of 0 to 18 years.
Notably, the State had reported 262 cases on Sunday.
Out of the new cases, 109 were from quarantine and 76 local contacts. Khordha district reported the day’s maximum 76 cases followed by Cuttack with 21, Sambalpur 14 and Mayurbhanj 12.
The districts which recorded below 10 cases were Baleswar nine, Jajpur and Puri seven each , Kendrapada and Subarnapur four each, Jharsuguda and Jagatsinghpur three each, Bhadrak, Boudh , Deogarh two each and Nayagarh, Dhenkanal,Ganjam and Sundargarh one each.
Besides, 31 cases were reported from the State pool.
The active cases stood at 2,719. Two more fatalities were reported, pushing the total death toll to 8,379 in the State.
Both the deaths were reported from Khordha district. However, 254 persons recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 10, 34,759.
