The State witnessed a slight decrease in daily Covid-19 positive cases with 1,030 infections being reported from 27 districts and the State pool on Thursday. With this, the total tally rose to 13,10,115.
Among the newly-infected were 199 children in the age group of 0 to18 years.
The State had recorded 1,174 Covid cases on Wednesday.
Out of the new cases, 603 were from quarantine and 427 local contacts.
Sundargarh district reported the highest 227 new cases followed by Khordha with 164, Mayurbhanj 110, Sambalpur 77, Cuttack 50, Subarnapur 39, Balangir 35, Kalahandi 26, Baleswar and Kandhamal 23 each, Bargarh 22, Jharsuguda 21, Nayagarh 20, Jajpur 19, Rayagada 18, Kendrapada and Koraput 17 each, Keonjhar 13, Boudh 12, Bhadrak and Nuapada 11 each , Puri 10, Deogarh nine, Gajapati and Jagatsinghpur seven each and Angul and Dhenkanal three each.
Besides, 36 cases were reported from the State pool.
The number of active cases stood at 6,974.
One more person succumbed to the disease, taking the total death toll to 9,137 in the State. The total recoveries stood at 12, 93,951.
