The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, run by the Union Youth and Sports Ministry, held a State-level youth convention at the KIIT University here on Friday. KIIT founder Dr Achyuta Samanta inaugurated the convention, in which over 250 youths from all the districts of the State took part.
The speakers at the meeting viewed that youths are backbone of the country. Strong will power and efforts should be incorporated among every youth to become independent and self-employed. Besides, there is a need of cooperation at every level for successful implementation of various youth empowerment schemes, opined the guests.
Among others, senior administrator Alekh Chandra Padhiary, KIIT Vice-Chancellor PP Mathur, Sangathan Odisha board director Reeta Bhagat and youth coordinator Prabeer Kumar Pradhan were present.
