The State Government has sanctioned 16 liquor shops during the current year, taking the number of total sanctioned shops to 1,846, informed Excise Minister Niranja Pujari in the State Assembly on Monday.
The Minister was replying to a question of BJD MLA Bhupinder Singh. The liquor shops sanctioned this year include 15 ‘On’ shops and one ‘BP On’ shop. Of the total sanctioned shops, 1,739 are settled and 107 unsettled, said the Minister.
