The crumbling law and order situation, the slow progress in the probe into Naba Das murder case and the police excesses on the BJP Yuva Morcha members have disturbed the minds of the people. How the State is being ruled and who is ruling it can’t be ascertained. In this scenarios, the BJP met the Governor on Monday and sought his intervention, said Leader of Opposition Jayanaryan Mishra.
Mishra said questions have been raised on the truth behind the murder of Naba Das being unearthed as the State Government is trying to sabotage the probe.
The State Government, instead of ordering a CBI probe into the incident, is trying to suppress the agitations over it. The Governor was requested to take stringent steps to combat the deteriorating law and order situation, said Mishra. MLA Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra, party State general secretaries Golak Mohapatra and Lekhashri Samantsinghar were part of the delegation.
