The BJP on Friday said the State Government was raising Central negligence vis-à-vis disbursement of crop insurance claims in order to cover up its own inefficiency in sending crop damage report to the Union Government in time.
The party demanded that the State Government deposit its crop insurance claim share in the account soon and distribute compensation among farmers soon.
“The Narendra Modi Government is committed to provide all support to farmers. Due delay in submission of crop damage report, the State Government has not been able to get Central Share. The State Government should deposit its share in the concerned account and disburse compensation among eligible farmers. It should also upload details about disbarment of claims in its website in two-three days,” said BJP State vice-president Samir Mohanty in a statement.
He slammed the State Government for submitting Khariff 2015 crop report on August 10, four months after scheduled March 31, 2015.
