The annual Nrusinghanath, Baisakhi Mela at Paikmal under Padmapur sub-division in Bargarh district would be celebrated on the Baisakha Purnima.
Under the chairmanship of Padmapur MlA Pradeep Kumar Purohit, a preparatory meeting was held for the Mela on April 15 at the temple premises.
Executive officer of the temple, Purusotttam Pradhan said during the Mela, the temple gets finance from different sources. As it is difficult, aid from the State Government can solve the problem of the trust board, he added. Considering the heat wave condition in the city, Purohit requested the line officials for uninterrupted electricity and water supply during the Mela.
Devotees from different parts of the State and from Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh also take part in the Mela. They believe that a dip in the holy water of Nrusinghanath gives salvation.
