The fourth session (Monsoon Session) of the 16th Odisha Legislative Assembly was declared sine die on Tuesday, ahead of a working day.
The session, which had started on September 29, was scheduled to continue till Wednesday (October 7). A total of seven Bills were passed and three Adjournment Motions were discussed during the Monsoon Session which was held in adherence to the Covid guidelines. On Tuesday, five Bills were passed in the House.Apart from these, unstarred questions and Zero Hour were part of the House proceedings. There was no question hour during the session. The House sat for four and a half hours each day.A day had been devoted to pay tributes to sitting BJD MLA Pradeep Maharathy, who passed away during the session on Sunday.
