Indian industries have the potential to become globally competitive; but for this, it is essential to have cost reduction and optimal productivity. With focus on more entrepreneurs through Start-Ups, there is a conducive environment for Indian business to become competitive in the global market, said Nalco CMD Tapan Kuman Chand while speaking at the Bhavan’s Centre for Communication and Management on its annual day here on Saturday.

Chand also appreciated the B-School’s initiative for setting up a research and incubation centre to promote new entrepreneurs. He underscored the need for developing a comprehensive value system that would enable the students to gain right kind of attitude, skills and knowledge to meet the industry requirements. To encourage such all-round achievers, the Nalco chief also announced to institute cash awards for top three students of the institute.

Among others, centre chairman Major General BK Mahapatra, director Dr Sujata Mangaraj and senior director lt Col PK Sahu were present.
