The Special Planning Authority, Bhadrak on Wednesday organised a stakeholders’ meeting on preparation of GIS/RS-based Master Plan for Bhadrak district in which the Gurgaon-based Feedback Infra Pvt ltd made presentations.
District Collector laxmi Narayan Mishra presided over the meeting and Zilla Parishad President Jagannath Swain, Bhadrak Municipality Chairman Manash Mohanty, Town Planning Director Subhendra Mishra, Additional SP Asit Mohanty, DRDA PD Sarat Kumar Mohanty, SPA’s Nabaghana Mohanty attended as guests. There are nine stages which include planning, mapping, modification, finalisation of draft master plan and delivery of final GIS data base.
The GIS/RS-based Master Plan for SPA, Bhadrak will be prepared under the Odisha Town Planning and Improvement Trust Act, 1965 which will include spatial data from RS and other sources and no-spatial data from RS and other sources and non-spatial data from Census and other concerned departments and organisations. A meaningful physical development plan would be formulated to regulate and guide the urban growth for the planning area for the prospective year 2030.
The formulation of the master plan will start after status analysis and consideration of the prime issues like physical characteristics and natural resources, demography, economic base and employment, house and shelter, transportation facilities, infrastructure and recourses.
