The Sambidhan Surakshya Manch(SSM) submitted a memorandum to the Governor through district Collector, Bargarh, seeking immediate arrest of the accused police under 302 Act for custodial death of Gobind Kumbhra on Tuesday.
They also demanded Rs 1-crore compensation for the deceased’s family. The members of the forum squatted in front of the district Collector's office.
Present at the dharana were Pabitra Deheri, Ramesh Mohapatra, Joshna Paike, Mariyam Barla, Basmati Banchhor, Bhabani Sahu, Amitabh Patra among others. Additional District Magistrate Mirdha Toppo received the memorandum.
