The State Government on Saturday announced appointment of Prof Shyam Sundar Pattnaik as the new Vice-Chancellor of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT).
Dr Pattnaik is presently serving as a professor at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Dr Pattnaik, a PhD degree holder in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Sambalpur University, is also the HoD of Educational Television Centre at the NITTTR, Chandigarh.
His research interests include antenna (Plana, Metamaterial, and Fractal), soft computing, ICT-based education, virtual learning, image processing, digital signal processing, teaching learning using free open source and social networks.
