Special Relief Commissioner GVV Sharma on Saturday paid a visit to Satabhaya and Bagapatia to access the ongoing progress under the Biju Nagar rehabilitation project.
Kendrapara ADM Sasadhar Nayak, Sub Collector Kanhu Charan Dhir, Executive Engineer Nalinikanta Senapati, local Tehsildar and BDO were with him.
Sharma took stock of the sea erosion site at Satabhaya and also interacted with the victim villagers about their problems. The villagers demanded steps for strengthening the embankment so that saline water does not flow into the agriculture field. later, he visited Bagapatia and inspected the ongoing developmental work.
