The Excise personnel following a tipoff raided in Jittal village under the Khantapara police station limits and seized a huge cache of spurious IMFL and arrested three bootleggers involved in the illegal activity.
They were identified as Bijay Mahalik, Mrutunjay Mahalalik both of Jidtal village and Kishor Sahu of Jamujhadi area.
They are all stated to be opera actors and had been performing shows for 12 years.
During lockdown when they had no jobs, they had switched over to illegal trade. The department besides seizing the sealed bottles also seized fake labels, seals and other incrementing materials. They were forwarded to court on Saturday, reports added.
