Spotted deer dies of sunstroke

A four-and-half-a-year old male spotted deer died of sunstroke at Bandalo within the Choudwar Forest Division on Thursday.

The thirsty deer which had come out from the adjacent Sana Bandalo forest started running hither thither while some locals of Bandalo chased it.

After running for more than one hour, the deer lost fell down. later, forest officials rescued the injured deer. However, the animal succumbed to its injuries while undergoing treatment by local veterinary surgeon Bijay Kumar Behera, informed Forester Kishore Kumar Parida.
