Cleanliness  is next to godliness.’  With this message, the FM University  undertook a cleaning drive in its campus  headed by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dinabandhu Sahoo as a part the resolutions  for the new year 2021.

Not only Sahoo himself  remained in the forefront, also he encouraged  other faculty members and staff in the mass cleaning exercise. “Clean environment and  maintaining  apt hygiene have been his  priorities. Besides he wants to give the university a new look. As he  stresses  on voluntary cleaning drive  or ‘Shram Dan,’ today a mass cleaning was conducted  under his leadership.

As the campus was in a shabby state due to  unwanted growth of shrubs and weeds etc. attributed to the months' long lockdown, trimming , cutting and cleaning was badly required. Involving all staff  in the exercise was conducted  following Covid guidelines,” said Sociology Professor Shipra Sagarika.

The university boundaries and a few buildings which were not visible earlier were clearly visible after the successful completion of the cleanliness drive in the campus, observed  another teacher Smrutisikta Thapa.  Dr Sunanda Kumar Pradhan, Dr Sunil Kumar Padhi, Dr Pabitra Mohan Nayak, Dr Ramakrushna Pradhan, Dr Sachita Nanda Sa, Dr Mihir Tanay Das, Dr Sipra Sagarika, , Dr Shadab Alam, Dr Jayanta Kumar Dash, Dr Prahallad Khilla, Moti Pangnam, Dr Jagannath Behera, Dr Sushanta Kumar Barik, Dr Ayaz Ahmad and Dipankar Jena were among others who participated  in the drive Vice Chancellor Sahoo said, “It is the topmost duty of an institution  to have a clean ambiance so that one can  work efficiently which is in one’s hand.

"Sahoo added that all colleges affiliated to the Fakir Mohan University  would be urged to  take the same initiatives.
