Even though the Keonjhar Truck Owners’ Association meeting is going to be held on September 24 but from now speculations are rife that who would be the new secretary of the association.
Discussions are being held whether it would be incumbent secretary Surya Narayan Kar ( Dilu Kar) or Pradip Kumar Parida, who had been secretary for 18 years till Dilu was elected to the post.
On Sunday, more than 500 truck owners had gathered in a get- together at Sidhmath , on the outskirts of the Keonjhar town .
The speakers opined that earlier owners of 6-wheel trucks were facing a lot of difficulties for loading but now with Dilu initiatives they are able to engage their trucks and maintain their livelihood. So they would vote for him.
Dilu said he would continue his fight against transportation of materials like slurry, pipe by big trucks like trailers.
