On the World Physiotherapy Day, Health Minister Naba Kisore Das inaugurated ABSMARI Physiotherapy Speciality Clinic in collaboration with the Sunshine Hospital here on Thursday.
The Minister also commissioned the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana at the Sunshine Hospital campus. The event focused on the role of physiotherapy and rehabilitation in the treatment and management of people affected by Covid and the use of data-driven and scientific treatment approach in the Indian physiotherapy and rehabilitation industry. The event started with a fitness session organised for Bhubaneswar Cycle and Adventure Club members. ABSMARI founder Abhinav Bindra and managing trustee Dr Apjit Bindra highlighted the role of advanced techniques in the healthcare and sports ecosystem.
The event was also attended by Dr Rajib Lochan Bhanja, Dr PN Sahu, industrialist Aisakanta Mohanty, Dr Payad Kumar Jena, Dr PK Sahoo, Dr Biswajit Nanda, CEO Priyabrata Mohapatra and GM Col TK Das. The hospital also organised a health camp for the visitors where they availed the service of free physiotherapy consultation followed by bone mass density tests.
