Special exam for left-out PhD students in Utkal

Published on:

In the Utkal University here, for the first time, a special examination would be held for the students who were not allowed to appear in the course work examination after being enrolled into various PhD programmes.

The professors of the concerned departments have been assigned to take classes of the left-out students for examination. A notification would soon be issued regarding the special examination.

This move followed a proposal made to the Vice-Chancellor through the Examination Controller requesting him for a special examination for the deprived students.

Several students failed to appear in the course work examination to attend the regular classes after enrolment into the PhD programmes in the university this year.

The students have to submit an NOC to the university authorities for appearing in the course work examination.

In case they fail to deposit the document, they would be ineligible for the test and have to wait for another year for continuing the PhD programmes.
