Eminent oncologist and executive director of Sparsh Hospitals Dr Ghanashyam Biswas said Odisha is now well-equipped with facility for proper diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
The situation has changed dramatically in last five years or so. It is often the lack of diagnosis or late diagnosis that leads to unmanageable situations leading to death in cancer, he told.
Sparsh Hospitals CMD Dr Priyabrata Dhir said that till date, the hospital has treated almost 20,000 cancer patients.
