The Samajawadi Party, Odisha on Thursday urged the State Commission for Women (SCW) to conduct an impartial inquiry into the alleged scandalous activities of self-proclaimed godman Sarathi Baba of Kendrapada district’s Barimula Ashram. “Sarathi Baba had allegedly spent nights with a Dalit girl in a Hyderabad five-star hotel from July 2 to 12. This act of the Baba has disrespected women clan as a whole. Besides, the Baba has grabbed some Gochar and Government land and constructed a temple on the same.” Samajwadi Party State president Rabi Behera said in his petition.
