The Samajwadi Party Yuva Jan Sabha on Saturday staged a demonstration protesting the irregularities in the Capital Hospital here.
“While large numbers of people depend on this Government hospital, the vacancies in many doctors’ posts and lack of medical instruments only add to their woes,” lamented the activists.
A five-member delegation team comprising Debasish Mishra, N Sambit Rout, Dipti Ranjan Sahoo, Prayag Ranjan Mahakuda and Subrat lenka, under the leadership of Yuva Jan Sabha State president Sanatan Dalbehera presented a seven-point charter of demands to Health Minister Damodar Rout through the Capital Hospital’s Director. Their demands included Crime Branch investigation on the users’ fee scam, sanitation measures in the hospital compound, transfer of doctors having served for over three years and stopping of private practice by doctors during official hour.
