The State units of the Samajwadi Party, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Janata Dal (United) which are the members of the proposed Samajwadi Janata Dal at the national level, would stage a dharna in front of the Raj Bhavan here on December 22 protesting the Central Government’s “lack of seriousness” to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks.

This was decided by the chiefs of the State units of the parties at a joint meeting held at the Samajwadi Party office here on Saturday. The leaders decided that they would also protest the State and Central Governments’ lackadaisical attitude in addressing farmer suicide issues, poverty and unemployment in the State.

The leaders decided that RJD State president Harish Mohapatra would be the convener of the proposed united forum while JD(U) State president Chitta Ranjan Mohanty and Samajwadi State president Rabi Behera would be joint conveners.
