Subarnapur district cops are using several platforms to render help to people during the lockdown period for the past several days.
While the cops are banking on social media platforms, those performing duty on the ground are reaching out to the poor and the needy, said sources.
Subarnapur SP Debi Prasad Dash showed the human face of policing when he helped a woman, who was moving in Sonepur town before some days.
Sources said on Tuesday, Dash came to know about a helpless woman, who was moving in the town. Without wasting time, he established her identity with the help of SP, Bargarh, IIC Bheden and Sohela police station.
Finally, on Tuesday, she was reunited with her brother who had come from Garbhana village under the Bheden police limits of Bargarh district.
Dash's action has now earned admiration from locals.
