To make electricity bill payment more user friendly, the Southco launched SBI PoS system integration here recently. The Southo had obtained PoS devices from the SBI in 2012 and is presently using 243 devices.
The launching ceremony was attended by AO Radhamohan Panda, GM (Finance) Biranchi Narayan Mallick, Senior GM Jogesh Panda, GM (Com) Pramod Kumar Choudhury of the Southco, DGM (D&TB) Goutam Roy, DGM (B&O) Sunil Bhatu Khairnar, Brahmapur RM (Region II) Harihar Patnaik of the SBI. Some live bill payments were done by consumers.
The SBI has recently introduced Multi Option Payment Acceptance Device (MOPAD) which facilitates four modes of payments in a single device. Digital solutions offered by the SBI are a win-win situation for both the organisation and consumers.
