With an objective to facilitating media coverage of people’s causes by recognising and encouraging journalists and other mediapersons of the State, Odisha Media Award (OMA) would be conferred on February 28 here, informed award committee convenor NA Shah Ansari.
The nomination for the award has been started from January 15 and would be completed on February 10.
The awards would be conferred to 23 people in 20 categories including best editor, columnist, cartoonist, radio and TV programme, documentary, journalism and mass communication institutes, photographer, blogger and others.
During the event, “South-Asia Media Talk” would also be held which aims to offer the unheard community and young adults a platform to talk about social issues that concern them, their peers and their communities with media experts from South-Asian countries, he added.
