After being expelled from Congress for allegedly running a parallel party organisation by conducting ‘Sankalp Abhiyan’, expelled Congress leader Soumya Ranjan Patnaik on Tuesday said he would launch a Jana Sampark Yatra after Dussehra across the State.
“I will not sit at home. I am personally very much involved with common people and I believe that politics is all about to be with people. While everybody is talking about ‘change’ and ‘alternative politics’ in the State, there is a need to take an oath for the purpose. Hence, we will organise a public relation campaign after the Durga Puja,” said Soumya.
On the other hand, in a major setback to the State Congress leadership, party’s lok Sabha candidate from Cuttack in the last election resigned from the party and is all set to join the Pyarimohan Mohapatra-led Odisha Jan Morcha on Wednesday.
