Fearing arrest by the Vigilance following the registration of cases against him for alleged irregularities at his gas agency, Soumendra Pradhan, elder brother of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, on Monday moved the Orissa High Court seeking anticipatory bail.
Vigilance has booked Soumendra under several Sections of the Essential Commodities Act and the Indian Explosives Act. Besides, they are also booked under Sections 285 (negligent conduct), 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC.
